1993 Big Cedar Bay Walleye Festival – Official Throwback Tee

THEY'RE BACK. AND NOBODY'S QUITE SURE WHERE THEY CAME FROM.

In the summer of 1993, Big Cedar Bay held what locals still insist was one of the greatest Walleye Festivals in town history.

Fishing. Food. Arts & crafts. Live music. Family fun.

And, naturally, an official festival T-shirt.

The shirts were sold around town that summer by local volunteers and businesses. You could grab one outside Personi's Family Market, down by Beth Ann Marina, or anywhere somebody could unfold a card table and convince you that you needed another T-shirt.

Then the festival ended.

The shirts disappeared.

For more than 30 years.

Until now.

According to the story going around Big Cedar Bay, several boxes connected to the old festival recently turned up in storage.

David Fubar claims they were discovered behind a filing cabinet at FUBAR Motors.

Bertha says that's ridiculous because she cleaned behind that filing cabinet in 2006.

Someone at WCRP remembers hearing that Personi's stored leftover shirts in the basement.

And one guy down at Beth Ann Marina swears they've been sitting in a boat shed since 1994.

Nobody agrees on where they came from.

But somehow, the 1993 Big Cedar Bay Walleye Festival shirts are available again.

Funny how that works.

Some are still around.

Some aren't.

And some are probably better left in 1993.
